Scenes of farewells and reunions after separation, in the age of global video communication, have long since become a clichéd image that standardizes the experience of separation, transforming it into mass-produced emotional patterns and a reproducible set of gestures.

Roman Khimei and Yarema Malashchuk decided to go to the Kyiv train station and record one of the few places in the world where rail transport is currently the only link to the outside world, where the number of people seeing each other for the last time is significantly higher than anywhere else, and where meetings and farewells cannot be interpreted, only experienced.
