Vienna Digital Cultures serves up another free clubnight banger in collaboration with Wiener Festwochen. Building on last year’s high-energy affair, AWAY FROM KEYBOARD 2 offers a multi-sensory trip across two floors of the floating Badeschiff, with vibes moving from ethereal through horny, to intellectual and—of course—ecstatic.


Apex Anima x FRZNTE take full control of the upper deck. Their live act pits Icelandic singer Unnur Andrea Einarsdóttir's trippy electronic pop with Berlin-based queer party-star FRZNTE’s laser-guided pole dancing—before a joint DJ set. Below deck, Vienna-based selector Thao warms things up with an intuitive selection of UK sounds before Belgian heavyweight Rey Colino takes the decks. Founder of the resected Kalahari Oyster Cult label and vinyl distro, Colino is known for his exploratory appetite. Acid, prog, electro, techno, IDM: from dancefloor cuts to horizontal abstraction, his curation is unmatched. Expect a boundary-pushing selection of the deadliest records, from a man who has held it down at Dekmantel, De School and beyond. Inland / Ed Davenport completes the night. A Berghain regular, known for his 8 hour closing sets at Panorama Bar, his work is rooted in the prog-influenced end of house and techno and driven by a left-field approach to sound design that always holds the dancefloor’s attention. This is digital culture, away from keyboard, together.
