Mona Schubert
Mona Schubert is an art historian, writer and curator at FOTO ARSENAL WIEN and of FOTO WIEN, Austria’s largest biennial photography festival. Her projects focus on photography at the intersection of art, technology, and media history, photographic exhibitions since the 1960s, and post-digital image cultures. In 2025, she completed her PhD at the University of Cologne on photography at documenta. Her most recent exhibitions include Platform Wars, Camera Austria Graz (2026), Science/Fiction. A Non-History of Plants (co-curated with Victoria Aresheva und Clothilde Morette, MEP, Paris), FOTO ARSENAL WIEN as well as Kincső Bede. Grenzwächter, Kahan Art Space Vienna (both 2025).
