Anna-Verena Nosthoff is Junior Professor for Ethics of Digitalization at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and co-director of the Critical Data Lab (Humboldt University of Berlin / University of Oldenburg). Her research focuses on the power of Big Tech, the digital transformation of the public sphere, and forms of technological authoritarianism and techno-fascism. Her most recent monograph is Kybernetik und Kritik. Eine Theorie digitaler Regierungskunst (Suhrkamp, 2026). She has previously been a research fellow at Princeton University, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the Weizenbaum Institute.
