Technology and authoritarian power form a shared historical infrastructure of reality. Technological, political, and artistic avant-gardes have always, in turn, created one another. From Futurism and the proto-fascism of the early 20th century to the interplay of cybernetics and counterculture, from Nazi Realism to MKULTRA Expressionism through to the Dark Enlightenment Slopaganda Biennale of the present — systems of domination and artistic practitioners, techno-transformation and theory-trauma march hand in hand toward the future or toward collapse.

Anna-Verena Nosthoff and Paul Feigelfeld discuss the genealogies, entanglements, and vectors of the techno-fascist dilemma, and sketch out thoughts on theories of resistance and counter-cultural techniques.
