Paul Feigelfeld

Paul Feigelfeld is a scholar of cultural and media studies. He is Professor of Digitality and Cultural Mediation and a member of the Institute of Open Arts at Mozarteum University Salzburg, as well as co-director of the Data Arts Forum. From 2021 to 2024, he was Professor of Knowledge Cultures in the Digital Age at the Institute for Design Research at the University of Fine Arts Braunschweig (HBK Braunschweig), and he also served as Visiting Professor at the Chair of Media Theories at Humboldt University of Berlin (2024–2025). His work explores transcultural and transmedia approaches to media and knowledge history, critical perspectives on technologies, and their intersections with politics, art, and design. He also works as a consultant for cultural institutions such as the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, the Vitra Design Museum, and the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna, where he was guest curator for Uncanny Values. Artificial Intelligence & You as part of the Vienna Biennale 2019.
